Cape Town — Kairo Forbes could not contain her excitement after she was gifted a brand new cellphone, and the gift certainly had Mzansi talking.
Kairo is the daughter of former SA rapper AKA, who was killed in February, and music star DJ Zinhle. The 8-year-old could not believe her luck when she received her gift, which was a brand new Samsung Galaxy Z5 Flip phone, valued at R18 000, after her dad won an award for Song of the Year at the recent DSTV Content Creator Awards, according to The South African.
Glammy, Lynn Forbes, known as “Glammy” to Kairo, accepted the award on behalf of her son and decided to surprise Kairo with the ph0ne.
As she unboxed it, her face lit up when she realised what it was and she could not contain her excitement. She was smiling non-stop and her eyes almost popped out of her face as she jumped for joy.
“You made her day! 🙌🏽💜Ⓜ️🙏🏽 In addition to his @contentcreatorawardssa Song Of The Year Award, Kiernan also received a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 phone from @samsungmobilesa! 🙏🏽 @kairo.forbes was left speechless but wants to thank everyone who used the songs on TikTok and who voted for her daddy! Thank you”
