Cape Town – Guitarist and musician J’Something officially opened the doors of his Artistry restaurant in Johannesburg over the weekend to the public.
Just last week, the musician announced he was looking forward to the official opening and expressed his excitement at the possibility of connecting with his customers.
The artist and former judge of the cooking show, My Kitchen Rules has always had a heart for food, dating back ten years ago when he introduced his fans to his cooking skill with the hashtag #SomethingsCooking.
On Saturday, February 25, that dream became a reality when the musician, whose real name is Joao da Fonseca, officially opened the door of his restaurant.

He took to his Instagram to share images from the restaurant’s debut launch on social media.
“You know what is the best thing about @artistryjhb for me personally? It all feels like I’m at home and my dining room is just a little bigger. The joy of home is in there. The flavours of home are there. The feeling of family is there,”
“Opening weekend has been so blessed. We decided to take things nice and slow and get in just enough people to make sure we could give everyone all our love and care with every step of the way. As we go and as we feel more confident we will open up more seats but for now hit the link in my bio and grab yourself a seat and swing by for some food, great cocktails and dope music,” he captioned.
Fans and industry colleagues took to the comments section to congratulate the musician while some said they couldn’t wait for the musical experience of the restaurant.
