Cape Town – Rachel Kolisi, former wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, revealed that she took her first solo vacation over New Year’s in Botswana, marking a significant milestone since their split in October 2021.
The couple shares two children, Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7), and had adopted Siya’s siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, creating a family of six.
While Siya and the kids spent New Year’s at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Rachel embraced her introverted nature and embarked on her dream trip to Botswana.
Rachel admitted feeling nervous and sad at first but left with a full heart and newfound friends from around the world. She shared her joy and gratitude for the experience, noting that Botswana will always hold a special place in her heart.

“This was my first holiday/new year without my kiddies, so instead of staying home sad and alone I went on my dream trip to Botswana 🇧🇼 Its the first solo trip I’ve done, and I’m an introvert, so I arrived super nervous, and sad and left with a very full heart and so many amazing new friends from all over the world.
“Botswana will always have a big piece of my heart,” she wrote.
Fans and loved ones flooded her with support, praising her courage and encouraging her journey of self-care and growth.
