Cape Town – South African actress, filmmaker, producer, and businesswoman Connie Ferguson has taken to Instagram to dedicate the latest instalment of the Kings of Joburg series to her late husband, Shona Ferguson.
Fans of the series can be excited by its return, with the second season set to air on January 27 on Netflix.
“They’re not ready,” Netflix SA wrote in the comments section on one of Connie’s posts, highlighting the excitement surrounding the much-anticipated second season of the show.

Connie also took to Instagram to upload a brief preview of what audiences can expect in the second season, as well as dedicating it to her late husband Shona.

“With the sudden and suspicious disappearance of the King of Jo’burg Simon Masire, the family struggles to adapt to a new king and new enemies in the City Of Gold.
“Heavy is the Crown, but it’s time to take back the city. #KingsOfJoburg Season 2 coming 27 January, only on Netflix,” She wrote.
“In memory of the most amazing human being I have ever known, the KING OF JOBURG Shona Ferguson aka Mr. Sho aka Uncle Sho. This is fir you my love. Hope you’re proud,” she added.
