Cape Town – South African model, singer, and Dj, Sithelo Shozi, has opened up about her lack of Instagram activity, confirming that she had taken a hiatus from the social media platform and that she is now “more awakened spiritually” and in a “very special time of her life”.
The media personality was speaking during an interview on Gagasi FM where she opened up about the recent changes she has undergone and how beneficial taking a break from social media has been for her.
Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize and her son, Andile Mpisane, have been accused of alleged child abduction, with the matter being taken to the high court in Johannesburg by Shozi.
According to TimesLIVE, Shozi is looking for an interim court order declaring her three-year-old daughter was “unlawfully and unconstitutionally” abducted and wants her child to be returned to her immediately.
The Citizen reported that Andile was accused of being abusive during his relationship with Shozi with whom he has two children.
The publisher reported that MaMkhize’s lawyer, Ntsako Godi, denied abducting the child and will be opposing the application. He also reportedly said that Shozi’s affidavit was “attention-seeking” because of its mention of Cele with no allegations.

Due to everything that has been taking place in Shozi’s life, she has found herself in the spotlight for things that she would not have wanted to be in the spotlight for. This has caused her some unwanted attention from some people who took to her Instagram profile to troll her about matters regarding her personal life.
The unwanted attention could be the reason for her taking a break from Instagram. She said that she expected it to continue.
“This is the nature of the business, I’m not expecting it to end, I’m expecting it to continue. I am a force and the minute people stop talking, I’m no longer that force. I am very newsworthy, very controversial … so it is what it is. I chose to be here,” Shozi said.
After deciding to take a break from social media, the media personality said she is the happiest she has ever been.
“Right now I’m going through a very special time in my life. I’m more awakened spiritually, it’s got nothing to do with anything … When I wake up, I pray, then the gym has helped ease my thoughts … it’s given me more time to focus on myself and my relationship with God, friends and kids. It’s really made me go back to what’s really important … I’m the happiest I’ve been … March will be back announcing news of her being on a big show.”
