Cape Town – Critically-acclaimed artist, Ayanda Jiya recently took to Instagram to share a snippet of a video clip of her bumping into South African artist Moonchild Sanelly at a nightclub in Austin, Texas, Unites States.
The encounter sees Ayanda sending a shout-out to Moonchild on stage just before her much-anticipated live performance for the audience.
According to TimesLive, Moonchild is in the United States for the South By South West (SXSW) Music Festival and Ayanda is “fulfilling her dream of performing overseas”.

“She said to me that I’m where I needed to be and that I shouldn’t be afraid to be me. But most importantly to never look back. Enkosi (Thank you) MoonChild Sanelly, I’ll always remember this moment. What an incredible soul you are. Thank you for everything,” said Ayanda.

In a separate post Ayanda shared her meet-up with another South African award-winning artist Letoya “Toya De Lazy” Buthelezi.
“Also how wild is this? To meet up with my fellow Zulu sister in a foreign land. See us laughing, speaking isiZulu in a club in Texas. I live for such moments. I want to tell you guys that this trip has been nothing short of amazing,” wrote Ayanda.
