Cape Town – Identical twins are making waves on TikTok with their unusual content.
The two TikTokers’ videos have gone viral on the platform, leaving many confused and shocked.
Banele and Bandile, who go by the name “skinnyleague” on TikTok, create content as inmates, while wearing what appears to be the famous prison orange wear.
The TikTokers have shared, in one of the videos, how they made their prison costumes.
Many on the platform, have raised questions about prison regulations. But the two continue to grow their following of more than 37K followers, creating more prison-related content.
The duo’s efforts don’t go unnoticed. Last month the twins unboxed a gift from TikTok and shared the video with their followers.
According to TshisaLIVE, the Mpumalanga twins use a room that looks like a prison where they shoot their videos and are reportely inspired by a nearby correctional service facility.
“We stay near a prison facility in Mpumalanga. Being exposed to the facility and seeing the inmates influenced the idea of doing TikTok lives and posting content,” the publication quoted Banele as saying.
Although the pair receives positive and negative feedback, they believe they bring a dose of laughter that is very much needed at a time when mental health issues are very prominent.
“Certain people may feel we may not be allowed to do this but we are using this mechanism because we are aware of mental health. We realise people are going through a lot, including depression and trauma. We believe this may help send the message out about mental health,” the report quoted Banele as saying.
