Cape Town – South African socialite Sbahle Mpisane has reportedly revealed that she lied about not remembering Kaizer Chief’s goalkeeper and former lover Itumeleng Khune, following her car accident three years ago.
According to Drum, Sbahle spent three months in intensive care after she was severely injured when her blue BMW 4 series collided with a tree in 2018.
She sustained a head injury and couldn’t walk, as both her legs were broken.
Before the accident, Sbahle was in a romantic relationship with Khune.
However, following the accident, the two became estranged.
Sbahle spun tales about amnesia, saying that she did not remember Khune or why she fell in love with him.

In her Instagram live video recently shared on YouTube, Sbahle admitted to lying about having amnesia and not remembering who Khune was. She said the amnesia story was intended to persuade people to leave her alone while she recovered from her accident.
Sbahle revealed that Kune paid frequent visits to her in the hospital and that they communicated via text every day.
“After the accident, I didn’t try and fix anything with Khune and I know people say that it was in an interview when I said that it’s because of amnesia that I didn’t remember who Khune is and I only said that because obviously, you all wanted answers unnecessarily. Obviously, I do remember him. I spoke to him every day whilst in hospital. He would come to visit me a lot. We were cool. In response to people saying: ‘She remembers everything, but she doesn’t remember Khune’… I was just fooling you,” said Sbahle.
