Cape Town – The latest episode of Life With Kelly Khumalo seems to have been an emotional rollercoaster for South African singer, Kelly Khumalo, as she shared her frustrations with her longtime friend, Wanda Baloyi, and maked peace with her sister, Zandie Khumalo-Gumede.
The controversial singer revealed that she and her sister were no longer at war during an interview on Kaya 959 with host Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka.
Kelly said and her sister were now part of each other’s lives again.
“We are good. We are very good actually. I think we needed that bit of a break. You know, when you are so close to another to a point where you lose self-identity, which is a dangerous thing for an individual … so I now feel like we needed that. She had to find her outside me, and I had to find me outside her,” said Kelly during the interview.
It appeared, however, that although the singer might have buried the hatchet with her sister, she may have lost a friend.
In the last episode of season 3 of her reality show, Kelly revealed that she “felt nothing” for her friend Wanda and shared some of the challenges that lead to the friendship breakup.
“I’m very mad at Wanda, and I don’t want to see her at this point,” said a visibly upset Kelly.
“Friends actually exhaust me. They are a lot of work, especially when everything is about them,” she said.
Although during the episode, Wanda could be seen trying to address the issue with Kelly, the singer seemed to have no interest in mending the friendship.
“Wanda can f*ck off. I never want to hear about her again. Even my clothes that I left in her house, I don’t want them she can burn them. I want nothing to do with her,” said Kelly.
She admitted she was concerned to see her longtime friends exit her life and said that losing friends as she grew older was “a tough one”. She, however, admitted that she could be the problem.
“I don’t know, a part of me is concerned,” she said.
