Cape Town – South African musician Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, better known by her stage name, Makhadzi reportedly walked away with two awards at the 2022 DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards (DStvMVCA) on Saturday night.
According to Times Live, Makhadzi bagged the Favourite Music Artist or Group awards as well as the Song of the Year awards for her hit song Ghanama featuring Prince Benza.
In her acceptance speech, the songstress thanked God for not making her fluent in English as she claimed that it was a blessing in disguise.
“Firstly, I would like to thank God for letting me to not know English because if I knew English I was not gonna sing in my own language and also I would like to thank DStvMVCA for giving me a chance last of last year to perform on this stage. It was not easy because I asked and begged to perform for free because knew that one day is one day,God will answer,” said Makhadzi.
