Cape Town – South African artist, Mthandazo Gatya, did more than merely just participate in the #OpenVerseChallenge set by world-renowned singer John Legend – he caught the attention, and the approval, of the multi award-winning artist.

The American singer first started the challenge on Tiktok when he allowed users to duet his song Nervous from his newly released Legend album.
Gatya accepted the challenge, gave the song an African touch, and displayed an outstanding spectacle of vocal ability.
He thanked his supporters and said that Legend noticed his post.
“Thank you all for make sure John Legend sees my duet, great news is that he loved it and replied, as to what will happen next, we can leave that to God, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Gatya said.
