Cape Town – Twitter was abuzz this week, as South African award-winning singer Makhadzi’s fans came to her defense, following her war of words with reality TV star Inno Morolong.
The twar was sparked by Morolong who went into Makhadzi’s DMs and allegedly accused her of owing a promoter money.
Their spicy exchange of words quickly escalated on social media and it wasn’t long before the hashtag #HandsoffMakhadzi topped Twitter trends.
Makhadzi’s fans rallied behind her and told Morolong to get off.
The singer, whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, responded, letting Morolong know that the promoter should have followed the same procedure they followed when they booked her, as she was not aware that she owed anyone money.
Accusing Makhadzi of enjoying herself with people’s money when the world sees her working day in and day out was stupid of that lady. Saying she’s a getto artist that makes music for Tarvens and Taxi Ranks was also very stupid of her. What’s classy without a Brain? pic.twitter.com/ovwpsUAvSk

Makhadzi said she did not plan to not show up when booked, but “things happen” and in such cases, she said her team did refund the promoters, following the right processes.
