Cape Town – From having a KFC burger named after her, to touring America, and having one of her songs reach over a million, 2022 has been a big year for the South African DJ and she shows no signs of letting up.
The DJ took to Instagram, uploading a video to Instagram that serves almost as a highlight reel of her 2022.
“God, this year has been nothing but your work. Thank you❤️,” she captioned the post.

She also rubbed shoulders with some big names in the music and entertainment industry. One name that stands out is American artist, Chance the Rapper with whom Waffles spent some time in between her performances in the United States.
Before touring America, she spent some time wowing the crowds in Australia. She then left for the States where she met Chance the Rapper in Chicago.

The song titled Tanzania by Uncle Waffles and Tony Duardo has proved to be a hit as the official music video reached over 1 million views in just three days after being uploaded to YouTube. The song also featured artists Sino Msolo and Boibizza.
The song, with soothing vocals paired with creative visuals in the video, currently sits on over 1.7 million views and over 26 000 likes on the YouTube platform.
In an Instagram post, she highlighted the achievement and thanked everybody that was involved and the fans for their support.
“And we hit a million in 3 days?thank you so much for loving on my first ever baby. Your endless love and support is truly appreciated,” Waffles’ caption read.
“Thank you @tonyduardo for everything ❤️ Thank you @real_boibizza @sinomsolo ? I truly appreciate you all And to every single person who helped me bring my vision to life, I love you guys. Thank you❤️,” she added.

The DJ also collaborated with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and got a burger named after her.
Waffles was excited to announce the “Uncle Waffles Burger”, taking to Twitter to share an image of her with the burger in hand.
“A crispy KFC fillet, dunked in maple chipotle sauce, served between 2 warm waffles. Have a taste with us at #KentuckyTown,” wrote Uncle Waffles.

Waffles did a really good job of carrying the South African flag high during her time overseas, and with the DJ being only 22 years of age, she still has much time, and an abundance of talent, to take the entertainment by a fiercer storm into 2023 and beyond.
