Johannesburg — South African music star, DJ Maphorisa, stole the show at the Galaxy 947 Joburg Day this past weekend, giving fans a thrilling performance.
DJ Maphorisa has made a name for himself as one of South Africa’s best and most popular music artists and has formed a strong partnership alongside fellow DJ and producer, Kabza De Small, with the two joining forces in 2018 to form Scorpion Kings, The South African reported.
The duo were one of the highlights of the day at the festival and they did not disappoint. In a video Maphorisa posted to Instagram, he showed the crowd bouncing and vibing along to his hit son, Manzi Nte, with fellow Mzansi star, Tyler ICU.

He captioned the video with the words “Bounced Back”, which was linked to an issue he had with fellow artist, Samthing Soweto. Maphorisa was forced to defend himself after he did not mention Soweto as a contributor to his song Amalanga Awafani.
Maphorisa said Soweto’s contribution was minimal and that his attitude led to clashes between the two.
“It was recorded in my house. He owns the whole master … if you want to cancel a person, you can cancel me, I’ll bounce back. I’m strong, I believe in myself,” he said.
Maphorisa’s fans noted the caption and took to the comments to show their support for him, praising him for putting on a great show.
“Double dankie mei pa🐐🔥🔥they can’t keep a good man down 🔥” @jollyb_official said.
“They only hate on the internet” @cee_grizzely wrote.
“That’s a bounce back F’real Brother ..” @siphodlam added.
