Cape Town — Former Miss SA finalist and Miss Universe Nigeria winner, Chidimma Adetshina, is currently in Mexico ahead of the Miss Universe Pageant next month.
Adetshina doesn’t appear to be phased by the recent ruling by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) to revoke the identities of Chidimma and her mother after they had failed to respond to a deadline to keep their South Africa documents. Home Affairs director-general Tommy Makhode said Adetshina and her mother might be facing fraud charges.
Despite the allegations and charges levelled against her, she has continued to do her and has kept her followers updated with her recent travels to Mexico ahead of the Pageant.
“*UNIVERSE; IT’S TIME* As I catch the next flight to Mexico, I am overwhelmed by the love and support I have received on this journey. To the charming gardeners of the Universe, I appeal you welcome me with open hands, hearken to the echoes of a mind on a mission, a story so big and a drive so powerful to call the Universe to action. Dear Tribe, continue to support me on this journey as we together uphold this cause,” she said on Instagram.
She also took to her Instagram story discuss her excitement of being in Mexico to represent Nigeria and promised to share her journey with her followers.
