Cape Town – Chart-topping rapper Cassper Nyovest, recently stepped-up to the pulpit to deliver his debut sermon as a born-again Christian.
At the Christian Family Church’s 30th anniversary celebration of God’s Covenant and Grace, the Doc Shebeleza hitmaker preached passionately about overcoming addiction and discovering one’s identity in Christ.
Taking to his timeline, he said: “So many souls were saved on this day. My encounter with Jesus Christ. All the glory goes to God!!!”

In early 2024, Nyovest took to Instagram stories to publicly embrace his new life as a born-again Christian, by sharing his baptism video with supporters.
The video shows him being baptised at St. Johns Spiritual Healing Church, in an echibini (a cross designed holy water pool). According to IOL, this symbolic act signifies his commitment to abstain from alcohol, pork, and smoking under church guidelines.
