Cape Town โ Legendary South African DJ, Black Coffee, revealed how his ex-wife, Enhle Mbali, made him upset after he gifted her a car while they were still married.
The two made headlines for their many ups and downs in their relationship and fans were left with mixed feelings following their public split in 2019. The two managed to keep their marital issues out of the public eye but things were not without their issues, at least looking at their relationship since getting divorced, The South African reported.
Speaking four years after their split, Black Coffee revealed an instance where Enhleโs reactions shocked him.
In an interview, Black Coffee revealed that he bought Enhle a fancy car, but her reaction was unexpected. The talented DJ wanted his wife to shout or even cry, but he said she only said thanks. The DJ said at the time, he thought he was unappreciated and felt hurt by her reaction.
“One day I bought my ex a very fancy car and the response wasn’t what I expected.”๐ณ๐ณ

Black Coffee’s admission got Mzansi talking and left many people with mixed responses to his claims. Some felt he was wrong for reacting in that way to Enhle’s reaction, while others felt it was time for the two to move on from each other and focus on their own respective lives. Take a look at some of the responses on X:
Even the most ungrateful woman would pretend to be grateful if their partner got them a fancy car. What men don’t get is that sleeping around and apologizing with expensive gifts won’t make women jump for joy.๐ฅบ

There’s a reason she wasn’t as appreciative. Men hurt women deeply and think a gift or money will make up for the hurt. Well everyone gets tired of being taken advantage of.
Anyway, m glad he’s alive and healthy. He has his kids to live for.โ ๐ฝ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฎ โช (@iambetty_ekene) March 2, 2024
I think a thank you was sufficient. If your heart is in the right place, you should have be okay with that.
