Cape Town – South African musician Babes Wodumo says she is looking for love again, following the death of her husband Mampintsha, towards the end of last year.
Babes went live on her Facebook page and made an hour-and-a-half-long video talking about many things. She answered questions and comments from fans and her usual bubbly personality was on show.
However, when she revealed that she was looking for love, many of her fans were surprised considering it’s been less than six months since Mampintsha’s untimely and shocking passing.
“Personally I prefer a white partner because they don’t talk too much. What is your suggestion because I’m really horny and it’s not funny anymore? It’s now getting to my head,” she said.
It was also reported by The Daily Sun that Pinky Gumede, Mampintsha’s sister, said she had no problem with Babes looking for love and finding a new man.
“I don’t have a problem with Babes finding a man because she is still young and she needs to move on with her life,” the report quoted Pinky as saying.
Babes revealed that she’s also been drinking a lot more to relieve her depression.
“I have consulted with medical experts but they couldn’t help me because I ask them hard questions. Due to these problems, I have resorted to alcohol. I simply drink my husband’s Original Shandis Gin or dance in order to feel less depressed,” Babes said.
She also said that since Mampintsha’s funeral, a lot of his friends deserted her and she has not seen many of her own friends either.
