Cape Town – South African actress and media personality Amanda du Pont recently took to her Instagram page to reveal that Jub Jub, real name Molemo Katleho Maarohanye, raped and physically abused her for two years.
Du Pont’s revelation came after she noticed her name trending on Twitter following Jub Jub’s interview on Channel-O with MacG on Podcast and Chill.
According to The South African, the Moja love Uyajola 9/9 presenter allegedly said during the interview that he “smashed” Amanda while they were in a relationship a while ago.
However, on her Instagram page, Du Pont posted an emotional video in which she revealed that her experience with Jub Jub was nothing but horror because he raped and physically abused her, causing her to have an abortion.

“You didn’t smash me, you forcefully opened my legs and you forced yourself on me numerous times for two years. The most painful part of all of this was that I was a virgin and I told him at the time. I told Jub Jub at the time that I was a virgin and I planned to be a virgin until the time I got married,” said Amanda in an Instagram video.
“…I was raped, physically and emotionally abused for two years by Jub Jub. The only thing I did wrong was keep quiet. But that ends here I will not be publicly ridiculed by this criminal. Him and Mac G saw it fit to drag my name on their podcast for clout at the cost of amplifying a Gender Based Violence Case. Any Attorney that can help me with a cease and decease letter or help with dealing with this man legally, please reach out so that he can keep my name out his mouth. Not because I can’t afford it but because I want to make this a public fight. The fight is bigger than me. Dedicated to the women who never make it out and end up dead,” Amanda said.

Since Du Pont’s revelation, more women have come forward to say that Jub Jub raped them as well.
Masechaba Ndlovu, a South African media personality and spokesperson for the Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture, is among those who have come forward.
“I believe @AmandaDupont. Molemo Maarohanye (Jub Jub) raped me too. It happened in Mama Jakie’s house in Naturena. He was my boyfriend. I was a teenager. I was a virgin,” Masechaba wrote in a tweet.

Meanwhile, the Moja Love channel has distanced itself from Molemo, claiming that they were in no way involved in the star’s interview with MacG.
The channel also stated that Jub Jub’s role as Uyajola 9/9 presenter has been suspended.
“As a channel, though we don’t condone any Gender Based Violence in any way and under any circumstances. As Moja Love, we have decided to suspend Jub Jub,” Moja Love tweeted.
