Cape Town – South African television personality, beauty pageant titleholder, businesswoman, and philanthropist, Basetsana Kumalo has taken to social media to celebrate her 22nd wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, Romeo.
The Miss Soweto and Miss Black South Africa, who was crowned in 1990, took to Instagram to share that marrying Romeo was one of the best decisions she has made.
“It feels like it was just yesterday when I said I do to you. Choosing you as my husband is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Twenty two years later…I will choose you again and again,” she wrote in the caption of a commemorative video she posted on Instagram.

She expressed appreciation for how good and reliable of a husband and father he has been to Basetsana and the kids over the years.
“You have been consistent and dependable through the years, your devotion to me and the kids is a beautiful blessing to witness, you support me in all my endeavors and dreams, always saying you can do it, believing the best of me when I need the encouragement.
“Through the ups and downs of life, you remain unwavering in your love for me. In you, I married my best friend and look forward to growing old with you my love.”
Basetsana thanked him for being the father that he is.
“Thank you for putting us first above everything else. You are such an incredible father to our children and positive role model to them. I thank the Lord for the gift of your life.
“I love you Mntungwa. Happy Anniversary to us.”
