Cape Town – Danie Odendaal, the creator of 7de Laan, has passed away at the age of 77 in Langebaan, Western Cape, following a short illness.
His family described him as a warm and creative individual whose storytelling had a lasting impact.
Odendaal’s health had been declining after suffering a stroke in 2019, The Citizen reported.
The SABC is deeply saddened by the passing of Veteran TV producer and creator of SABC2’s 7de Laan Danie Odendaal.
His immense contribution to the entertainment industry will never be forgotten.

He was also known for his work on productions like Saartjie and Dennekruin 12.
