Cape Town – Veteran actress Themsie Times, who played Maria Zobula on 7de Laan has died, reports said on Friday.
According to TshisaLIVE, Times died on Thursday at the age of 70.
“It’s unfortunately true. As far as I know she passed away yesterday (Thursday),” the report quoted 7de Laan publicity manager Kayleen Bessit as saying.
Times played Maria on 7de Laan for 13 years before leaving the show in 2016.
She also featured in other big productions, including the role Ma Jordan in the first season of Yizo Yizo and appearances in films such including Cry, the Beloved County and Beat the Drum.
