Cape Town — Eswatini-born International amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles is on a winning streak, having just announced her two Grammy award nominations.
Uncle Waffles has enjoyed a year that most artists can only dream of, with international performances at prestigious events like Coachella, along with a successful tour in the US and Europe. Her talent has earned accolades from music icons like Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott.
Taking to her Instagram, Uncle Waffles shared the exciting news of her dual Grammy nominations. She’s been recognized in the categories of Best Global Music Album for “Asylum” and Best African Music Performance for her chart-topping track, “Yahyuppiyah”.
“It’s been an amazing year, I’ve played 100+ international shows this year alone and I’m soo greatful for everything that continues to happen in my life. Today marks the 2 year anniversary since my life changed and I’m in awe at what has happened since , and this part of my journey is even more exciting as I’m proud to Announce that I’m in the running for two Grammys nominations, I need my babysss to share this post for me🥹!!
