Cape Town – South African radio personality and Idols SA judge Unathi Nkayi is no longer going to host the upcoming GQ Men of The Year Awards due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
GQ South Africa confirmed the news on its Instagram page.
“It is with regret that singer-songwriter, businesswoman, entertainer and reality show judge @unathi.co will no longer be joining us for our event due to unforeseen circumstances. We look forward to working with Unathi in the future,” wrote GQ South Africa in an Instagram post.

This comes a few days after Unathi had her contract terminated by Kaya 959 following “certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward”.

According to Channel24, the 2021 GQ Man of the Year Awards will be held on November 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel, The Westcliff.
The ceremony honors those who inspire, lead, and shape the cultural landscape.
The nominees’ list includes humanitarians, innovators, designers, comedians and entrepreneurs.
A new host for the awards ceremony has not been announced.
