Cape Town – Television producer, Legend Manqele, has reportedly denied releasing the audio of a private conversation that he had with Mohale Motaung in which he (Mohale) revealed his alleged domestic abuse at the hands of his husband Somizi Mhlongo.
The abuse revelations left South Africa shocked.
Manqele, who’s also a CEO of Barleader productions which produced Living The Dream With Somizi, amongst many other reality shows, said he had nothing to gain from leaking the recording.
Legend, according to True Love, said he would never resolve whatever differences he might have with certain people this way.
“This is not how I do things, and I always try as best as I can to protect my peace. I was also shocked when I discovered that the recording had been leaked,” the report quoted Legend as saying.

Mohale alleged that Somizi abused him physically and emotionally during their relationship.
He claimed that Somizi broke his ribs and nearly knocked out his two teeth in a jealously-fueled domestic dispute in their Joburg home last year.
Several audio clips from Mohale’s exclusive interview circulated on Twitter.
In a statement released on his Instagram account on August 7, Mohale said it was not his intention to have private details about his marriage with Somizi out in the open.
“I wish to make it clear that it has never been my intention to have the private details of my marriage exposed in the public nor will it ever be my intention to cause disrepute to his image…,” wrote Mohale.

Meanwhile, according to The South African, the upcoming season of Living The Dream With Somizi will not be produced by Barleader.
Legend maintained that the decision was not personal.
“This is purely a business decision, which had nothing to do with anything personal. I took a decision that I thought was best for the business,” the report quoted Legend as saying.
