Cape Town – Condolences poured in on social media on Monday, as news of the passing of legendary kwaito star, Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala rocked Mzansi.
Tokollo’s death was confirmed in a statement.
The kwaito star, who was also a member of the iconic kwaito group, TKZee, died in the morning following an epileptic seizure.
“It is with great sadness that the family wishes to confirm the passing of Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala,” read the statement.
The family has requested privacy during this trying time but said that they will share memorial and funeral services in due course.

“All details pertaining to his memorial and funeral service will be shared in due course,” said the family.
The soccer team took to its Twitter to send its condolences to the Tshabalala family.
“Orlando Pirates is saddened by the passing of the son of Mr Stanley Tshabalala, Tokollo. On behalf of the extended @orlandopirates family, we convey our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Tshabalala family,” the club tweeted.
TKZee which consisted of Tokollo, Kabelo Mabalane and Zwai Bala made waves when their first album, Halloween became a hit.
The album also earned the trio four awards at the 5th SAMAs for Best Kwaito Album, Best Duo/Group, Best Single and Best Kwaito Single.
