Cape Town – After American rapper, Kanye West called him a “Koon” on social media for weighing in on his domestic affairs, South African comedian Trevor Noah wrote a heartfelt lengthy response to the controversial rapper.
Trevor had recently dedicated a ten-minute long segment on his late night show, The Daily Show, to address his concerns over Kanye’s mental health and his constant “harassment” on his ex-wife and her current partner.
Trevor detailed how the rapper’s music played a big role in his life and how much he grew up to be a staunch listener of the rapper’s music.
Trevor said that he felt he needed to give his piece of advice to the embattled rapper before he found himself in “prison or the grave”.
“I’d rather be the idiot who spoke up and said something to you in life, than the cool guy who said nothing and then mourns for you in prison or the grave,” wrote Trevor.

“You’re an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this. I don’t care if you support Trump and I don’t care if you roast Pete. I do however care when I see you on a path that’s dangerously close to peril and pain,” said Trevor.
On a lighter note, he took a jab at the rapper for calling him a “Koon” and reminded him of the racial history of the word and how it came about to be used against black people.
“And as for Koon. Clearly, some people graduate but we still stupid. Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree. Tricking us into dividing ourselves up in splinters so that we would never unite into a powerful rod,” he said.
