Cape Town – Internationally renowned South African comedian Trevor Noah has opened up about why he decided to leave The Daily Show, saying that he believes everything should end.
The host of the popular American show announced in September that he would be leaving it behind, despite a successful 7 years at the helm after a rocky start to his time as host.
“I realised that after the seven years, my time is up,” Noah said.
The audible gasps in the studio reflected how shocked they were to hear the news.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Trevor opened up about his decision to leave.
“Maybe this comes with not being raised in America, but I believe that everything should end.
“A lot of American business and American media is just like, ‘Keep it going as long as possible,’ but I think it’s healthy for things to end when they’re still in a good place.
“I want to leave before I’m burnt out because there are many other things I’d like to do,” Trevor was quoted as saying.
Whatever lies ahead for the comedian cannot be said for sure. However, one thing is certain: Trevor Noah shun an immense South African light on America – a light they fell in love with, and will struggle to replace.
