‘This isn’t the end of your career,’ fans say after SA legendary actor Israel Matseke-Zulu’s leg is amputated

Cape Town – Legendary South African actor Israel Matseke-Zulu has had his leg amputated, reports say.

According to Sunday World, the former Gomora actor confirmed that he was recuperating after the operation on his right leg on Friday.

This comes weeks after Matseke revealed that he was diagnosed with gangrene, a disease defined as the death of tissue caused by an infection that often occurs in the skin from loss of blood supply.

In his case, it affected his right leg, making it difficult for him to walk.

After learning the news, fellow south African celebrities and fans took to their social media platforms to share their messages of support and comfort to Matsekele.
