Cape Town — South African rapper Nasty C is showing off his “new look” since becoming a dad to baby Oliver.
The rapper announced during a freestyle rap in June that he and his long time girlfriend, Sammie Heavens, were expecting a baby. The rapper has since been preparing himself for fatherhood and has been very supportive to Sammie. He confirmed the birth of baby Oliver in August.
Recently, the star has undergone a bit of a body transformation, rocking a new “dad bod” look and he posted a video to his Instagram, telling fans how much he likes it.
“Hi, my name is Nasty C. I’m a new dad, this is my dad bod, and I love it, and I love myself and I’m happy. I look great, I’m a strong black man, a strong father. This doesn’t make me insecure at all. In fact it makes me very confident,” he said.

According to TimesLIVE, Nasty C said fatherhood made him take his career more seriously.
“I’ve always taken it seriously but I’ve always put fun in the forefront. I’ve always been the type of guy to say once this thing stops being fun I’m going to stop doing it. Now it’s not like that any more. I’m trying to make music that will last forever. I want to leave something behind that he’s going to be very proud of.”
He added that, since the birth of his son, he’s made some changes and has started taking better care of himself so his son has a good role model to look up to.
“I’ve been taking far better care of myself. Mentally, emotionally, physically. There’s a lot of undoing just from the way I was raised, so that when he looks at me and absorbs the things I say and do, he takes all the right stuff.”
