Cape Town – Former Miss South Africa Melinda Bam and her husband Adriaan Bergh have welcomed their new baby into the world.
Bam announced the baby’s arrival with a post to her Instagram page.
In the post, the baby is holding her thumb.
“but thís… this is something more, it’s something holy – sacred, …this is love. Yes, we’ve gone into hiding the last three weeks. We wanted to drink in every moment and view it through our awe-struck teary eyes. It really has been a sacred time …we’ll let you in soon,” she said.

Bam’s Instagram timeline has been filled with posts of her and her husband, as she showed off her pregnancy, while keeping her fans updated about her pregnancy journey, including praising Adriaan for being so supportive throughout the process.
“Every minute of that has been in your presence and in wonder and awe of what you are doing, creating, preparing. As much as you’ve created and formed this boy in my womb, You have shone on areas that have never seen light in us before, awakening parenthood in a glorious sunrise. What a gift, what a wait, what an awakening, what a father!” she wrote in one post.
