Cape Town – The South Africa-based group of television channels that provides sports content, SuperSport has apologised publically for a viral video in which Twiggy Moli can be heard calling former Manchester United player a “po*s”.
The video, which went viral on social media, had viewers thinking that Twiggy said the word, which many would consider an impolite one, on live TV. However, SuperSport cleared that misconception by confirming that the footage was from a rehearsal.
When the presenter asked, “who do you want to win this one: Ronaldo or Messi?”, Twiggy answered, “Messi, because Ronaldo is a po*s”.

Supersport has come out to issue a public apology for the video and confirmed that the footage was not intended for broadcast.
“SuperSport is aware of a SuperPicks video circulating on social media. This was a rehearsal that was not meant for broadcast. Despite this, we unreservedly apologise for the language used.”

Despite footballing fans criticizing Twiggy for what she had said, many Manchester United fans would arguably agree with her.
Ronaldo soured his relationship with the club’s faithful after his ‘explosive’ interview with English journalist, Piers Morgan in which the Portuguese said he “doesn’t respect” club manager Erik ten Hag and added that some people at the club were trying to force him out.
One such Manchester United fan is South African comedian, Dilan Oliphant who agreed with Twiggy, but said that he would have called him a “po*s” in a manner that contained more finesse.

However, other footballing fans called for presenters of sports shows to with one fan tweeting, “This is what happens when they let slay queens and influencers analyse football for us…”
“This is sad,” the fan – @ChrisExcel102 – added.
