Cape Town – South African actress, Simphiwe Simz Ngema, has taken to Instagram to offer some wise advice to new moms who may be feeling insecure about their post-pregnancy bodies.
Simz spoke about women taking time with their bodies, the effects of carrying a baby, and encouraged new moms to stop comparing themselves to others.
“Dear New mum,” she wrote on Instagram, “take your time with your body. You carried a whole human being.”
“It’s okay to fall, as long as you don’t stay down. A little commitment and discipline can take you far.
“Stop comparing yourself to other people, it’s been 2years and I’m still working on my body. stay in your lane and love the body you are in.❤️”

Fans of South African media personalities Simz and Tino Chinyani have gone into a frenzy of speculation after intimate pictures of the pair spending time in a pool together went viral on social media.
The pair welcomed a baby boy into the world before they separated in September. However, their separation would not interfere with their friendship and co-parenting.
“I will forever be grateful for everything you have taught me. I pray that God gives us the strength and wisdom to raise our beautiful son,” Simz said in an Instagram post around the time of their break-up.
Now, however, because of the pictures that have spread across social media, fans are speculating- and probably hoping – that the couple might be back together. One fan on Twitter even speculated that “they never broke up they wanted space from the public”.
