Cape Town — South African actor and media personality Somizi Mhlongo has shown his full support for Kelly Khumalo in the midst of the Senzo Meyiwa trial.
Somizi showed unwavering support to his friend after she went through a difficult time lately. Kelly was removed from a couple of festival lineups for her alleged involvement in the Meyiwa trial.
However, she was able to perform at the All4Women concert that took place this past weekend and Somizi — who was the MC at the event — showed Kelly love as he introduced her on stage.
“Please make some noise and welcome my sister that I love with all my heart. I love this woman. This woman stood for me when I couldn’t stand, stood with me when I couldn’t stand, and I will stand with her no matter what,” Somizi said in a video Kelly posted to her Instagram.
Kelly also confirmed that she’s set to perform at Emperor’s Palace for Somizi’s Shades of Pink concert on Saturday 19 August.

According to The South African, Kelly has continued to face backlash in the rebooted Meyiwa trial, set to enter its sixth week on Monday, 21 August, at the North Gauteng High Court.
At the time of Meyiwa’s death in October 2014, Kelly was his girlfriend and she has been haunted by cancel culture, especially as more and more witnesses take to the stand to testify.
The mother-of-three has also been clapping back at netizens who have been calling for her to be cancelled from the entire entertainment industry.
