Cape Town – A welcoming dinner was held at Tang, a restaurant situated at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, Gauteng on this week, in celebration of Nkosinathi ‘Black Coffee’ Maphumulo’s first Grammy win.
Black Coffee bagged his first Grammy this past Sunday, during the 64th annual Grammy Awards ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, according to eNCA.
He won in the category: Best Dance/Electronic Album for his Subconsciously studio album which came up tops, going against the likes of Sylvan Esso, Illenium, Major Lazer, Ten City, and Marshmello to scoop the award.

On Tuesday, he received a hero’s welcome on his arrival in South Africa from the United States, IOL reported.
A “Grammy dinner” that was graced by his industry peers, politicians, family and friends followed on Wednesday.
