Cape Town — Siya Kolisi is known for showing grit and determination on the rugby field every time he plays but away from the field, he is a family man through and through.
Siya often posts pictures and videos of himself with his wife Rachel and their two kids, Nicholas and Keziah.
He also has a touching story regarding his two half-siblings.
According to The South African, Siya and his wife Rachel are the legal guardians of his half-siblings, Liphelo and Liyema, whose mother died in 2009. After her death, his brother and sister were placed in foster care and were reunited in 2012 after Siya tracked them down.
As the rugby star celebrated his birthday on Youth Day, he was bombarded with messages from family, friends and the rugby world but the standout message came from his baby sister.

A screenshot of Liphelo’s Instagram story showed her beautiful message to her brother, expressing how much she loves and appreciates all that Siya has done for her
“Happy birthday to the one who has always been my rock, support, and father figure! I want to take this opportunity to let you know how much you mean to me and how grateful I am to have you in my life.”
“You have always been there for me through thick and thin. You have been my guide, my mentor, and my friend. You have taught me so much about life and have been a constant source of inspiration and motivation. I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for me.”
