Cape Town – Actor and producer Shona Ferguson, who died last week on Friday, will be laid to rest on Wednesday in a private ceremony, the family has reportedly said.
The 47-year-old media mogul died at the Milpark hospital in Johannesburg due to Covid-19 related complications.
According to EWN, Shona had been fighting for his life in ICU for more than two weeks.
The report quoted family spokesperson Thato Matuka as saying that details of a memorial service would be communicated at a later stage.

Meanwhile, a Sunday World report said his wife Connie was inconsolable and was on the “verge of a breakdown”, according to a source close to the family.
“She has been crying nonstop and is refusing to even eat. She is in shock. The news has really paralysed her. I wish I could take away her pain away … She knew that he was not responding to the treatment and doctors did prepare her … she lost her world.
“Shona was her best friend,” the report quoted the source as saying.
Shona was known for various TV roles including starring in Muvhango as Dr Leabu. In March 2007, he left the Venda soap opera and starred as Itumeleng in The Wild from 2011 to 2013.

He and Connie launched Ferguson Films in 2010 and brought the country productions such as The Queen, Rockville, iGazi, The Throne, The Herd, and Kings of Jo’burg, to name a few, Drum reported.
They also ran The Ferguson Foundation, dedicated to empowering and supporting disadvantaged individuals in business, education, film, and ultimately building industry leaders, the report said.
