Cape Town – Social media users expressed their shock at the age gap between South African politician, Carl Niehaus who recently announced that he had paid lobola for his wife, Noluthando Mdluli.
Niehaus revealed the news on his Twitter page over the weekend, sharing pictures of himself and his wife.
“Today is a beautiful day, I paid lobola for my beautiful wife,” he captioned the photo.

The 61-year-old man was dressed in pants and a jacket while Nolie was wearing a long black dress coupled with a ‘doek’ on her head.
Tweeps took to the comments section to congratulate Niehaus, while some couldn’t get over the age gap between the love birds.
