Although little else has been confirmed about his role, Sebogodi is best known for his role as the entertainingly villainous Kenneth Mashaba on the SABC1 soapie, Generations where he had such a good presence, and kept South Africans glued to their screen every weekday at 20:00.
The woman King, according to The Hollywood Reporter is plotted around true events that took place in the Kingdom of Dahomey, one of the most powerful states of Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries. The story follows Nanisca (Davis), general of an all-female military unit, and Nawi (Mbedu), an ambitious recruit, who together fight enemies who violated their honor, enslaved their people, and threatened to destroy everything they’ve lived for.
There’s no official release date yet, but based on the release schedule for the movie’s distributor, TriStar Pictures, it most probably won’t debut until 2023 at the earliest, according to Sunday World.
