Cape Town — Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana star, Teboho Mokoena, made headlines when he was spotted next to Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) President, Julius Malema.
Mokoena and his teammate Khuliso Mudau are trending after sharing pictures with Malema on their social media accounts. Mokoena posted the photo to his Instagram timeline (it has since been removed from his page), while Mudau shared it to his Instagram story, The South African reported.
Both players missed Sundowns’ opening-day win against Supersport United, so speculations were high that it allowed them more time to do personal things. They both took pictures with Malema on the same couch, however it is unknown what the location was.
As per reliable source,Teboho Mokoena & Khuliso Mudau aren’t in matchday squad tonight with no injury concerns.

It must have been an inspiring moment for Mokoena as he has previously stated that Malema was his favourite president. After the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Mokoena told fans upon Bafana’s return to South Africa that he was excited to see Julius Malema.
“He’s my favourite president in the country. Thank you everyone for coming. This is the proudest moment of my life. Keep on supporting us and we will keep on doing our best. We will make the country proud,” he said.
Tebogo Mokoena “I’m happy to see President Julius Malema. He’s my favourite person in the country.”
