According to The Citizen, the 2022 Miss World pageant took place on Thursday, March 17, and aired in South Africa between the hours of 02:00 and 05:00.
The pageant was originally scheduled for December 16, 2021, but it was postponed due to some contestants testing positive for Covid-19 concerns.
Prior to the postponement, Shudu was ranked in the top ten of the Miss World “Beauty With A Purpose” round in Puerto Rico.
Although the results were unexpected, South Africans have showered Shudufhadzo with love.
Shudu has been spending some time in New York after the pageant.
She captioned a recent Instagram photo: “I don’t have a caption for this, just joy.”
Channel24 also quoted her as saying: “I am absolutely thrilled to have made it so far in the competition. This truly is a dream come true, and I am so very grateful to have had this wonderful opportunity. Congratulations to the newly crowned Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska and all the other contestants who made this journey so special.”
