Cape Town — Shortly after returning to France from her brief visit to South Africa, Rachel Kolisi was on the move again as she headed on a flight to Miami.
Rachel returned to South Africa last week for her brother’s wedding to SA Olympic champion, Tatjana Schoenmaker. Rachel was excited to be back in SA, and even managed to join the Springboks on their victory tour following the World Cup victory, where she was the unfortunate victim of a rugby ball incident.
However, the family holiday had to come to an end at some stage and the Kolisi family, including Nicholas (9) and Keziah (6), were headed back to France.
Rachel revealed that, after 19 hours of travelling to France, she was set to travel again as she had scheduled flights to Miami, for another 10 hours of flying. She also praised her children for being “absolute legends”.
“Just process the fact that we just got off a 19 hours on a plane and flying another 10 hours tomorrow. See ya tomorrow Miami,” she wrote.
Rachel revealed she had a bit of a mishap on her original flight to France, believing her flight to be at 12am on Wednesday 8 November, instead it was on 7 November. She managed to get it rescheduled, only to find out she was on the same flight as her sister and brother-in-law.
“I woke up to a message this morning “you were supposed to be on a flight last night.” We had a 12am flight and I thought it was today. Anyway, we’re on our way to Dubai and then to Paris.”
“It meant we’re on the same flight as my sister and brother in law, and we scored an open seat in our row! 😍🙏🏼 Always sad to leave 🇿🇦❤️” she added.
