Cape Town – South African actress Mona Monyane recently paid a heartfelt tribute to her late daughter Amani-Amaza Wamazulu, who passed away in 2017, only seven days after her birth.
Mona took to her Instagram to write out a heartfelt message for her daughter, who would have celebrated her 5th birthday this year.
She posted a picture of her daughter laying asleep in her arms and she spoke about how her daughter became such a big inspiration for her, saying that Amani “saved her life” and continues to “be the light that illuminated my darkness.”
She added that she always longs for her daughter and wishes she could have stayed but always carries her daughter with her where she goes.

Mona said her daughter inspired her to start the Power of Wellness (POW), a platform where she embarks on a journey of prioritising wellness from a mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and financial perspective.
“You would be so proud of your Mama. I remember everything you taught me and I use my pain to heal. I’ve embraced who I am [and] I walk in my purpose. My Spirit is awake.
“I started #POW for you my baby [and] I will continue to grow it for you, I will love and laugh for you [and] live for you,” Mona captioned her post.
