Cape Town — Talented musician Bokang Moleli, widely known as Malume Vector, tragically passed away in a car accident on Wednesday afternoon, alongside his friend and fellow upcoming artist Lizwe Wokuqala.
Sunday World reported that Malume and Lizwe were together during the crash and a close source verified to the publication that they were in the car, though their destination remains unclear.
“It is not yet clear where they were going, but it is him and Lizwe who were in the car that I know of,” said the source.

Following the tragic news and footage circulated on social media showing the aftermath of the crash, an outpouring of condolences flooded in for Malume’s family. Many also celebrated his impactful contributions to the South African music industry.
