Cape Town — Rachel Kolisi is excited to announce that she and her family will be returning to South Africa briefly to attend a family wedding.
The Kolisi family moved to France in August this year ahead of the Rugby World Cup and will stay there due to Siya’s big move to French rugby club, Racing 92. The family, including kids Nicholas (9) and Keziah (6) have settled in nicely but no doubt they are excited to be returning home.
Rachel took to her Instagram timeline to give her followers an update on their time in France, and revealed that despite all the challenges, the family are happy and settled. She also thanked her family, friends and followers for the support they’ve shown them in their big move.
“9 weeks ago, we moved from Durban, South Africa to Paris, France. Challenging would be a MASSIVE understatement, but yesterday the kids started their first half term school holiday, and it felt like such a big accomplishment for all of us 😅”
“In 8 days we’re on a plane home 🇿🇦 for a family wedding and we can’t wait! Thank you for all the kind messages, support, advise and recommendations ! I’ve read most of them and appreciate every single one! ❤️”

Meanwhile, Siya and the Springboks are preparing for an historic World Cup final clash against old foes, New Zealand, following a nail-biting game against England in the semi-finals. The match carries significance as the winner will become the first country in Rugby World Cup history to win the trophy 4 times.
Siya revealed in the post-match interview that the time had to work hard to get the ‘ugly’ win and gave great credit to England. He also gave great credit to the Springboks for the way they fought to get through the game and said they are now preparing for the final. He also highlighted the incredible support the team has received, both at the World Cup and back home.
