Cape Town – Springbok star Franco Mostert is in the running for “dad of the year” after he dressed up in a full tiger suit for his daughter’s birthday party.
Away from the field, Mostert is a family man through and through, and the towering lock was not afraid to get dressed up for his daughter.
Mostert currently plies his trade in Japan so him and his wife, Juan-Ri, decided to throw an early birthday party for their daughter Jemi so she could have her father present for the celebrations.

The soon-to-be four-year-old is clearly a big tiger fan and her parents pulled out all the stops to make sure she had the best day ever. The birthday celebrations took place on the beach with her friends and family around her.
“We decided a while ago to fly with grandma back to SA… this means Franco is missing Jemi’s birthday again in May. Since we have already started collecting TIGER… was this a super last minute beach party (sorry @anneleemurray) ?… in, yeah! She STILL wants to be a tiger! Luckily she wanted to wear her outfit this time ? Except for the wind that setup me “HELP” ?? it was very successful ?,” she said.
Juanri also penned a special message to Franco for all his parenting efforts.
“My baby – what a FESTIVAL to be in the HOOD with you #parenthood ? ? ? ?? In my life I have never seen a daddy like you pappa? I LOVE YOU! Thank you for the person you are Dankie.”
