Cape Town – Award-winning South African musician and producer, DJ Tira, is the latest entertainer to venture into the alcohol industry after he announced the launch of his new alcoholic drink, Bearings Cyder.
The DJ, whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, adds his name to the list of South African celebrities who now have alcohol brands.
He joins rapper Cassper Nyovest (Billiato), and more recently, actress Mbalenhle Mavimbela, who launched her new wine (Moments) earlier this year.
DJ Tira took to Twitter to announce his new drink: “Bearings Cyder is now available at selected stores across South Africa! #SambaNgeBearings #BearingsCyder Drink responsibly Share these great news and stand a chance to get R500 at 17h00 and 18h00 koze kuse,” he tweeted.

News24 reported that rapper AKA is also in the process of launching his spirit brand “in the near future”, adding that his name would be removed from all Cruz vodka bottles after becoming its official brand ambassador in 2016.
