Cape Town – Artist Libani “Rasta” Sirenje took to Instagram on Tuesday to share with his multitude of followers a portrait he painted of Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini in honour of his lasting legacy.
Rasta said that he selected seven colours to paint the portrait of Zola “in commemoration of his healing”.
“Be strong Bonginkosi Zola7 Dlamini my Brada ‘Bhambatha namhlanje’. Painted 7 shades of Zola 7 in commemoration of his up healing sisonke all the way. You did it,” Rasta captioned his post.
According to Times Live, Rasta spoke about the meaning behind the different colours.

“The colours are inspired by Swaziland. The lit match means he will definitely come back. We have faith in him as his songs have been a pillar of strength and motivated us. I have cassettes of Zola from way back. He inspired me,” the report quoted Rasta as saying.
This comes after growing calls from the public to help aid Zola who is in frail health and in dire straits.
Zola recently took to Facebook to share his banking details after much pleas from the public asking to assist.
“I’ve received hundreds of texts asking for my banking details. I see I’m trending on Twitter and plenty of people are offering financial assistance as gratitude. I’ve never expected anything in return for the help I’ve given people in need but this is truly humbling,” said Zola.
