Cape Town – Scandal! actor Melusi Mbhele took to his Instagram account on Sunday to share a video clip of the candle-lit memorial gathering for the late The Estate actor Siyanda Sesimani.
Siyanda died last week on Friday after succumbing to his head injuries following an alleged burglary at his home in Soweto, Johannesburg.

Famous actor and TV presenter, Zola Hashatsi issued a family statement on behalf of the fallen star.
“Siyanda was attacked at his house on the 15th of February 2022, and was admitted at Garden City Hospital with head injuries. Doctors mentioned that he had a fracture on his skull and decided to take him to theatre on Wednesday 16th February 2022,” he wrote.

“The operation went well and he was responding well from the coma, until the 21st of February 2022, when he went into a cardiac arrest. On the 24th he went for a scan to check what had caused the cardiac arrest. On the 26th Feb we had a meeting with his doctor who explained that Siyanda was brain dead at this stage and chances of survival were extremely low,” said Zola.
Zola said that on the morning of March 11 the family received an urgent call from the hospital asking for their presence.
“Siyanda took his last breath at about 08:30 am. May his wonderful soul rest in peace,” said Zola.
Details surrounding the burial of the fallen star are yet to be made public by his family.
