Cape Town – Late actress Busisiwe “Busi” Lurayi will make a brief appearance on eTV’s soapie Scandal! in early September, the show announced on this week.
Lurayi died last month at her home.
Eye Media Artists, her agency, confirmed the news on social media with a family statement.
The cause of her cause is unknown.
Before passing away, Lurayi appeared on the eTV soapie as Me’Shell, according to The Citizen.

Me’Shell is the wife of a wealthy businessman looking for “extra-curricular activities”. She meets CJ, a personal trainer played by Thulani Hlatshwayo. CJ, being young and vibrant, seems to pique Me’Shell’s interest, and she offers to pay him handsomely to meet her other needs.
Unfortunately, Lurayi was unable to complete the character’s storyline. As a result, actress Thuli Thabethe would be stepping in later to see the character’s storyline out, said the report.
“We would like to confirm that the late Busi Lurayi had joined Scandal! as the character of Me’Shell. She will feature as a long-time friend of Layla Mckenzie from the 2nd of September. @rulerofself stepped in to take over Me’Shell’s remaining scenes. #TheFinalAct #RIPBusiLuray,” the channel said.
